Trying to organise a Fund Raiser in memory of a friend, having a family day have you any ideas of fun things?

A very young friend of ours died of cancer a year ago and we are trying to rasie money in her honour for a hospice. We've decided on a family day, BBQ, music etc but need ideas on little events on how to raise money, like raffles etc please help as this is our first time ever doing something like this
