Is Miami a party city or just full of posers?

My best mate and I are looking to go to Miami at the end of September, we usually go to Ibiza and want to party but have heard that some clubs turn you away if you dont look right i.e designer clothes. Want to have Fun and dance not sit around trying to look good. Please advise!
